A Greene County man sought on a nationwide extradition warrant saw his freedom end this week in Puerto Rico, according to authorities.
Jonathan Enoch Bricker, 43, of Paragould, was arrested in Puerto Rico on a pair of petition for revocation charges.
Greene County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Adam Butler said Thursday that Bricker was scheduled to appear in court for the petition to revoke case but did not show up.
Soon after, the nationwide extradition warrant was signed by Circuit Judge Melissa Richardson while a failure to appear warrant was signed July 15.
Butler said authorities later received word that Bricker was in Puerto Rico and that Bricker was arrested.
According to court records, Bricker was originally arrested on suspicion of 30 counts of distribution, possession or viewing matter depicting child sex in Greene County in 2018.
He was sentenced to 60 months in the Arkansas Department of Corrections, followed by a 120-month suspended sentence in that case. He also served 149 days in jail in that case.
Bricker was also sentenced to 68 days in jail in July 2024 on an August 2023 obstructing governmental operations charge in Baxter County. He was originally charged with failure to register as a sex offender in the Baxter County case.
A revocation petition was filed in September 2023.
Right now, there is no timetable on when Bricker may return to Arkansas to face the petition to revoke charges. However, Butler said prosecutors will be working to get Bricker back to Greene County.
“We will do everything we can to get him back (here),” Butler said.
