Action in the Bermuda cricket leagues continued across the island this weekend.

Somerset Cricket Club defeat Flatts Victoria by ten wickets: Flatts Victoria 127; Somerset Cricket Club 129/0

At Somerset Cricket Club, the home team secured a ten-wicket victory over Flatts Victoria.

Flatts won the toss and chose to bat but were bowled out for 127. Xavier James and Sai Kumar were the joint top scorers with 17 runs each. Somerset bowler Isaiah Richardson finished with 3 wickets for 22 runs from 8.5 overs, including four maidens.

In response, Somerset reached their target without losing a wicket. Dominic Sabir scored 58 not out off 49 balls, with 8 fours and 2 sixes, while opening partner Alex Dore made 53 not out off 45 deliveries, hitting 3 fours and 4 sixes.

Bailey’s Bay were all out for 132 in reply. Sharye Tavares was the leading scorer with 30, while Kamau Leverock delivered a key bowling performance for Warwick, claiming 3 wickets for 19 runs from 8 overs, including one maiden.

St. David’s claim five-wicket win over St. George’s: St. George’s Cricket Club 202; St. David’s Cricket Club 204/5

At Wellington Oval, St. David’s Cricket Club secured a five-wicket win against St. George’s Cricket Club.

St. David’s won the toss and chose to field. St. George’s posted 202, led by Macai Simmons with 46 runs. Kevon Fubler took 4 wickets for 35 runs from 10 overs, including one maiden.

In reply, St. David’s reached 204 for 5. Marcus Scotland anchored the innings with 61 runs from 63 balls, hitting 5 fours and 2 sixes. Nzari Paynter was the most successful bowler for St. George’s, finishing with 2 wickets for 46 runs from 6.1 overs.
