Flood recovery is ongoing Saturday in Southwest Virginia.

Significant flooding occurred in the Dante, Virginia area of Dickenson and Russell Counties on Friday.

The Town of St. Paul said in a social media post that they are planning a Supply Donation and Giveaway Event to support those in Dante affected by the flooding. This event is taking place beginning at 12 p.m. on Saturday at the Dante Community Center.

The town added that hot food, showers, cell phone chargers, WiFi, and other necessities will be available at the Community Center along with a free lunch at 12:30 and dinner at 5:30.

In a later post, the town added that the St Paul Municipal Pool will be closed Saturday so the showers can be used for those impacted by the floods between 12:30 and 6:30.
