ANTIGUA and BARBUDA – The Organization of American States is calling for immediate, concrete action to address Haiti’s deepening crisis.

The resolution came at the close of the OAS 55th general assembly on Friday in Antigua and Barbuda.

Member states backed a plan to boost coordination across the region and the wider international community to help stabilize Haiti.

The resolution urges countries to support Haitian authorities in restoring public order, delivering aid, and preparing for free and fair elections.

The OAS says the situation demands urgent and sustained global attention.
