PM Modi Speaks With Mauritius PM Ramgoolam, Reaffirms Strong Bilateral Ties
PM Modi appreciated Ramgoolam’s participation in the 11th International Day of Yoga celebrations, highlighting the shared cultural values between India and Mauritius.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday held a telephone conversation with his Mauritian counterpart, Navinchandra Ramgoolam, during which the two leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthen the Enhanced Strategic Partnership between the two nations.
Underscoring the ties that India shares with Mauritius, they discussed ways to deepen bilateral cooperation across key sectors, while also holding discussions on the ongoing cooperation in development partnership, capacity building, defence, maritime security, digital infrastructure, and people-to-people ties.

During the conversation, the Prime Minister appreciated Ramgoolam’s participation in the 11th International Day of Yoga celebrations, highlighting the shared cultural values between India and Mauritius.
PM Modi reiterated India’s continued support for Mauritius’s development goals, in line with the country’s Vision MAHASAGAR framework and India’s Neighbourhood First policy. He also assured that India remains committed to working closely with Mauritius on areas of mutual interest and regional cooperation, the Prime Minister’s Office said.
The Prime Minister also extended an invitation to the Mauritius PM for an early visit to India.
