Louisiana man dies at Florida hospital after his motorcycle strikes another in south Alabama

A21-year-old Louisiana man died at a Florida hospital after his motorcycle struck another early Sunday morning in south Alabama.

The crash occurred at approximately 1:50 a.m. Sunday on Covington County 102 near Alabama 137, approximately 10 miles south of Andalusia.

“Jackson R. Poole, 21, of Youngsville, La., was critically injured when the 2002 Honda XXR 200R motorcycle he was operating struck the rear-end of the 2022 Honda CRF 125 motorcycle operated by Elijah W. Bradley, 19, of Andalusia,” a statement from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency read.

Poole was taken to Andalusia Health and later to HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital in Fort Walton Beach, where he died.

Bradley was also injured and taken to Andalusia Health.
