Missouri American Water to present the Ronald McDonald House with Hydration Station Grant

JOPLIN, MO  – The Ronald McDonald House will be presented with an American Water Charitable Foundation Hydration Station Grant. Over $21,000 in grants have been awarded this year to 11 organizations to help purchase bottle fillers and/or drinking fountains for sustainable and safe hydration in Missouri communities.

“We’re so thankful to the American Water Charitable Foundation and Missouri American Water for helping us add a hydration station to the House. It’s another way we can provide care and support. Staying hydrated is important, especially for breastfeeding moms. This upgrade makes it easier for families to take care of themselves while staying strong for their little ones,” said Lori Jones, executive director of Ronald
McDonald House Charities of the Four States.

A check presentation will take place on Monday, June 16 th with representatives from the Ronald McDonald House, Missouri American Water and Senator Jill Carter in attendance.

“Accessible drinking water is a resource many take for granted,” said Rich Svindland, president of Missouri American Water. “We are proud to partner with the American Water Charitable Foundation and offer an opportunity for community organizations to provide sustainable, accessible and healthy hydration stations for visitors and staff.”

Funding for Hydration Station Grant is provided by the American Water Charitable Foundation, as part of its State Strategic Impact Grant Program, focused on high-impact projects and initiatives throughout American Water’s national footprint.

“The American Water Charitable Foundation is pleased to partner with Missouri American Water to support their focus on reducing single-use plastic bottle waste, with the addition of sustainable hydration stations in the community,” said Carrie Williams, President, American Water Charitable Foundation.
