Finland's inflation rate remained at 0.5 percent in May, according to figures released on Friday by Statistics Finland.

This is the third month in a row that the rate has stood at 0.5 percent, a continuation of the lowest inflation level since December 2020.

Statistics Finland noted that the rise in consumer prices last month was curbed in particular by the average interest rate on mortgages, interest on consumer credit as well as electricity prices.

Although prices are levelling off elsewhere, the cost of coffee is once again rising, having hit its highest ever level on international commodity markets last December.
