Osklaloosa ready for 123rd annual Old Settlers Reunion
TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A tradition dating back more than 120 years continues this weekend in Oskaloosa.
Matt Miller visited Eye on NE Kansas with your invitation to the Old Settlers Reunion.
Matt said legend holds that the event started with a group of settlers meeting on the Jefferson Co. Courthouse lawn to eat beans and discuss the hardships of settlement.
The event has evolved into a festival featuring music, fun and games, bringing people together from Jefferson County and beyond. Matt said last year they even welcomed attendees from France!
