Jhon Duran is reportedly set to be made available for a loan move ahead of the 2025-26 season, just months after he swapped Aston Villa for the Saudi Pro League.

Reports coming out of Riyadh this week claim that Colombian international Duran, who had to withdraw from his nation's squad midway through their World Cup qualifiers this month, has struggled to settle in Saudi since completing the move in January, which banked Villa north of £60m.

Duran, 21, scored 12 goals in 18 appearances for Al-Nassr as the side, which also has Cristiano Ronaldo on their books, as they finished third in the Saudi Pro League behind Al-Hilal and champions Al-Ittihad.

The move came after an excellent first half of the season for Duran in a Villa shirt; the striker, who joined from MLS side Chicago Fire in January 2023, netted 12 goals in 29 appearances for the Lions, including the winner against Bayern Munich in the Champions League and big goals in the league against West Ham, Everton and Manchester City.

Now, though, Duran is said to be facing difficulties on a personal level, which are affecting his 'mental state and technical stability'. ArRiyadiyah report that a host of clubs would be willing to take him on loan if Al-Nassr decide to sanction a move this coming summer and have an expressed an interest, with clarity on the situation expected in the near future.
