East Tennessee NOAA weather radios to be down until Friday, National Weather Service says
The outage affects 33 counties in East Tennessee, five in Virginia and two in North Carolina.
MORRISTOWN, Tenn. (WVLT) - The National Weather Service of Morristown said a system patch is going to interrupt NOAA Weather Radio Transmitters this week.
From now until Friday, NWS officials said anyone who uses an NOAA weather radio must use alternate methods to obtain weather information.

This affects anyone who lives in the following counties:

- Jefferson
- Johnson

- Morgan
- Polk
- Rhea
- Roane
- Scott
- Sequatchie
- Sevier
- Sullivan
- Unicoi
- Union
- Washington
- Lee, VA
- Russell, VA
- Scott, VA
- Washington, VA
- Wise, VA
- Cherokee, NC
- Clay, NC
During the outage, East Tennessee is forecasted to see rain and scattered thunderstorms each day.
