Home lost due to nearby grass fire

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - A west Laredo home is destroyed by a nearby grass fire Friday afternoon, March 14th.
Laredo Fire crews responded to a report of a grass fire at 2511 Geronimo Loop at around 4 p.m. resulting in the closure of nearby roadways.
LPD said the grass fire spread to nearby addresses and reached a home at 2503 Geronimo Loop. According to officials, the house was a complete loss.
American Red Cross and AEP were contacted to assist the owners.
The fire remains under investigation.
