Oregon State cruised to a lopsided victory in the opener, defeating the Cougars 15-1 in a game that featured a slump-busting performance from Wilson Weber.
The senior catcher went 3 for 3 with a double, homer and a career-high six RBIs, highlighting an offense that amassed 10 hits and a season-high 14 walks.
Wilson entered the day in a 3 for 40 slump, logging a hit in just three of his previous 10 games.

This and that: The Beavers have won five consecutive games, tied for their longest winning streak of the young season. ... Oregon State’s 15 runs in the opener were its most against Washington State since April 26, 2019, when it defeated the Cougars 18-4 in Corvallis. ... The Beavers scored nine runs in the fourth inning of Tuesday’s blowout, producing their most runs in any inning this season. OSU had five hits and five walks in the inning, including a three-run homer and a walk from Weber. ...
