MOSCOW, March 11. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioglu have discussed ways for the OSCE to become part of a new Eurasian security architecture.
"Today, we talked about the OSCE’s ability to adapt to the current geopolitical realities and become part of a new security architecture," Lavrov said following their meeting.
According to him, some initiatives have emerged that are no longer related to Euroatlantic concepts but to a Eurasian approach. "Undoubtedly, we would like to revive the principle of indivisible security that was enshrined at the highest level at the 1999 OSCE summit in Istanbul and reaffirmed at the organization’s 2010 summit in Astana," the top Russian diplomat pointed out.
