Dogs going missing in Southwest Iowa

Southwest Iowa residents have noticed a string of what appear to be dognappings.

6 News was told that two dogs, missing from separate locations in Southwest Iowa, are a similar breed. They are a Great Pyrenees and a Great Pyrenees mix.

One disappeared near Treynor, not far from where two young women were seen trying to take a neighbors dog. The other dog went missing by Emerson.

Genea Stoops of Hooves and Paws Rescue believes these are two more cases of suspected dognappings that she’s getting reports of in Southwest Iowa.
