Bishkek, July 16, 2018. / Kabar/. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkaliy Abylgaziev flew to Georgia for working visit.

Also Abylgaziev will hold a bilateral meeting with Georgian President Georgi Margvelashvili, Prime Minister Mamuk Bakhtadze and leaders of several ministries and departments of this country.

The delegation of Kyrgyzstan includes parliamentarians and government members.

Kyrgyzstan is the first country in Central Asia to join the Open Government Partnership.

The Open Government Partnership (OGP) is a unique multilateral initiative aimed at ensuring concrete commitments by governments to increase transparency, expand civic engagement, combat corruption and use new technologies to make governments more open, effective and accountable to citizens.

The OGP initiative was launched on September 20, 2011 during the session of the UN General Assembly, when eight heads of state announced the signing of the Declaration and submitted their national Action Plans.

Since then, the OGP has evolved into a platform with more than 70 national governments (representing one third of the world's population), 15 subnational entities, seven multilateral bodies and hundreds of civil society organizations.
