Isaac Haas will get a shot at the NBA.

The 7-foot-2 center will play for the Utah Jazz in the NBA summer league, according to CNHI Purdue beat reporter Mike DeFabo on Twitter. Purdue’s men’s basketball Twitter account confirmed the former Hokes Bluff standout signing as a free agent.

Haas averaged 14.7 points per game, which was the second highest average for the Boilermakers during his senior season. He grabbed 5.7 rebounds a game and shot .617 percent from the field in 23.4 minutes a contest. Purdue finished 30-7 and fell to Texas Tech in the Sweet 16 during March Madness as a No. 2 seed.

At Hokes Bluff, Haas scored 20.5 points, grabbed 10.2 rebounds and averaged 4.4 blocks a game during his senior year in 2014. He was named The Gadsden Times’ All-Etowah County player of the year after leading the Eagles to the Northeast Regional, which was the last time the boys’ program made it to Jacksonville.
