Dad's who celebrated Father's Day were in for a treat by the Nevada Northern Railway on June 17.

The Nevada Northern Railway (NNRY) offered an adventurous 90-minute excursion ride through remarkable Robinson Canyon.

Along with train rides, dads or grandpas took control of the throttle. The NNRY also gave passengers a chance at the driver’s seat with the Ride with the Engineer or Be the Engineer.

The Railway’s historic trains run between three communities on 30 miles of track in White Pine County.

Regular rides include caboose and engine rides, and the steam excursion train (a 90-minute train ride on a train pulled by a century-old steam locomotive toward Ruth Mine).

The Nevada Northern Railway Museum is a designated National Historic Landmark. For more information click here.
