Vice President will arrive today for a two-day visit

Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu will reach Kochi on Tuesday for a two-day visit. He will be attending three functions.

KOCHI: Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu will reach Kochi on Tuesday for a two-day visit. He will be attending three functions. Naidu will be visiting Kerala for the first time after assuming office.

The Vice President, who will land at the naval airport, will be accorded an official reception by the state government. The Indian Navy will give him a guard of honour.

In the evening, Naidu will inaugurate the  Indian Fisheries and Aquaculture forum, the triennial international conference on fisheries, which will be hosted by the Central Institute of Fisheries Technology in collaboration with the Asian Fisheries Society Indian Branch.

On Wednesday,  Naidu will be the chief guest at the golden jubilee celebrations of Kochi Corporation. The function will be held at Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium at 9.30 am.  

After the function, the Vice President will attend the 160th anniversary of the Cochin Chamber of Commerce and Industry at Hotel Taj Gateway.
