The Colorado Department of Transportation says Interstate 25 will be closed in both directions between Wellington and the Wyoming border due to high wind as of 11:30 a.m. Monday.

There have been multiple crashes reported along the route in Wyoming, CDOT said via Twitter.

CDOT has not released an estimated time at which the roads will reopen, and advises drivers to take an alternate route.

Northbound lanes on U.S. Highway 85 at the town of Nunn are also closed due to high wind, also currently without an estimated time of reopening.

This is a developing story. Stay with the Reporter-Herald for updates as they are released.
