The head of the Jamaica Center Business Improvement District is officially leaving her post.

Rhonda Binda announced she was leaving the Jamaica BID through a Facebook post.

During her three year tenure, the BID won a $10 million grant to bring high speed internet to local businesses.

The Queens native also helped the BID change cleaning services to keep local streets tidy.

She also said the BID has also seen new sources of revenue in the past few years.

"I hope that in the work that we've done, we build up the institutions so that there can be more people both from here who are just fond of everything we have to offer and looking for the opportunities in New York to want to come back as well. the same way that I did," said Binda.

Binda will be heading to Venture Smarter to work as a Vice President of Policy.
